High Temperature Sealing Materials

We supply several high temperature materials for uses including Thermiculite, and Klinger Milam

Thermiculite is an innovation by Flexitallic. This is a very high temperature rated sheet gasket material comprising of chemically and thermally exfoliated vermiculite on a tanged (0.1mm) thick stainless steel core. Simulating the structure of exfoliated graphite this material is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures without oxidisation. This asbestos free material is thermally stable and chemically resistant. Thermiculite’s temperature ranges from cryogenics to 1600°F (870°C).
Further information:

  • Total freedom from oxidation

  • Superb level of tightness, even at 930°F

  • Suitable for use up to 1600°F

  • Maximum recommended pressure is 2900 PSI

  • Excellent chemical resistance

  • Easily cut and installed in the field

  • Sheet sizes of 40" x 40"

  • Thickness range of 1/32" to 1/8"

Klinger Milam is an asbestos free sealing material based on Mica reinforced with stainless steel tanged insert.

It is specifically designed for hot dry gas applications up to 900ºC and 5 bar.
Further Information:

  • Use in hot dry gas applications such as incinerators, exhaust manifolds, turbines, air heat exchangers and burner ducting

  • Low weight loss at high temperatures

  • Excellent resistance to embrittlement

  • Sheeting (m): 1.2 x 1.0

  • Thickness (mm): 1.3, 3.0

We also supply ceramic millboard, glass webbing tape, aluminised glass cloth, ceramic webbing and ladder tapes
