PTFE

For food, pharmaceutical and hazardous chemical services.

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is now a very common material used in gasketing applications for arduous chemical service. Materials offered by Munsch & Co  include virgin grades but more commonly biaxially structured with various fillers to comply with the required chemical and creep resistance. The unique structure of filled PTFE ensures high levels of seal integrity

We can supply PTFE in both soft cut and machined pieces.

Munsch and Co. also manufacture PTFE Envelope Gaskets in house.

These are used particularly where the gasket is coming into contact with very aggressive fluid media or where cleanliness and hygiene are essential.

A PTFE Insert is added to a compressible outer gasket usually made from non asbestos fibre or rubber. This combines virgin PTFE’s inertness with the compressibility of the rubber or fibre material.
